Daniel Maltzman is a Los Angeles-based Pop-Surrealist painter whose bold, layered acrylic-and-spray-paint work juxtaposes graphic imagery with figurative portraits — from icons like Marilyn Monroe and Brigitte Bardot to shadow figures, animals, and California car and surf culture.

Raised in Beverly Hills amid Hollywood nightlife and fashion, he draws on fame and advertising's visual language, echoing Mark Grotjahn and Andy Warhol. Collectors include Justin Bieber, Paris Hilton, and Steve Tisch.
